.:Overview:. The Dragon War hasn't been raging long yet, but has caused plenty of damage. Holders live in fear of their homes getting ruined by the dragon's flames, while the riders and the dragons themselves fear their own death. With Pesuth getting ready to Rise again and Bayranth sitting a new clutch, things are especially edgy. A war between dragons, brought on simply by a few riders stealing some eggs and starting their own Weyr. Fort Weyr, which has been around for Turns and has many more dragons, or High Reaches, which is fresh with its seven dragons and the occasional rider who abandons Fort to join this new Weyr. Gold
Golds are the Queens and only Clutching Dragons on Pern. They do not fight in any battles between the two Weyrs, instead they stay behind and guard the Weyr itself because they are too valuable and are the only dragons that cannot chew fire-stone. Golds range in size from 45 to 60 meters, having grown larger to deal with harsh times. Their hide ranges in color from dark, almost bronze, gold to a light sunny gold and any mix of the color in between. Some smaller golds have green in their coloration. Golds Fly about 2 to 3 times a Turn. Golds Clutch between 15 to 30 eggs, depending on the size and color of the dragon that catches them. Golds Impress to Heterosexual Females Only.


Bronze
Bronzes are the usual leaders of the Fighting Dragons and the Weyrs, and the largest males. They range in size from 40 to 55 meters, also having grown in size to deal with the war. A Bronze's hide can range from a light coppery color to a very dark bronze color, with green and brown colors mixed in. Bronzes will chase Golds and occasionally Greens or larger Female Whites. Bronzes Impress to Heterosexual Males Only.


Brown
Browns can lead Fighting Dragons and sometimes Weyrs. Being the second largest males, they range in size from 35 to 47 meters making some of the larger ones capable of competing with the Bronzes in small Gold Flights. Browns can vary in color from very light sandy brown to a dark chocolate brown. Some can have hide colorations that include bronze colors. Browns will chase small Golds,Greens, and Female Whites. Browns Usually Impress to Heterosexual Males, but Occasionally Impress to Bisexual/Homosexual Males or Females.


Blue
Blues are almost the smallest males, if it wasn't for the re-occuring White mutation they would be. They range in size from 27 to 34 meters and are some of the more agile Fighting Dragons. Their hide has a wide variety of possible colors, from a sky blue to grey-blue to sea blue, or just a dark blue, Blues come in many different colors and mixes of those colors. Blues only chase Greens and Female Whites. Blues Impress to Anyone.


Green
Greens are also very close to the smallest females, they would be if it were not for the very rare Female White dragons. Greens range in size from 23 to 29 meters and are very agile in battle. Their hide can range from a pale green or seafoam green to a forest green or a simple dark green. Greens Fly whenever they feel the urge and are generally chased by Blues, Browns, and large Whites though they will occasionally get a Bronze to chase them. Greens Impress to Anyone.


White
Whites are the smallest dragons. They are usually recon dragons and guard the Weyr with the Golds during battles. The Males range in size from 16 to 22 meters and the Females range in size from 18 to 26 meters. Thanks to the harsher conditions, the White dragons were able to add a few meters to their stature. Female Whites Fly about 4 or 5 times a Turn, sometimes less. The only Female to date did not clutch. They are usually chased by Blues and Whites, though the larger ones can be chased by Browns and Bronzes. Whites Impress to Anyone.
